"I learned at an early age that my name was the fifth principal in Kwanzaa and carried the meaning purpose in Swahili. Since then, I've made it my life's mission to live out my purpose and pursue the things I am passion about; telling stories that matter. My love for storytelling has taken many forms, including theater, photography and poetry but I see video as a way that combines them all."
Nia is a creative and educator with a love for storytelling. She received her Bachelors from Howard University in Communication and Culture and later went on to receive her Masters in Theater Performance from Goldsmiths, University of London. After spending 7 years as a educator in Washington, D.C, Nia decided to pursue her passion for videography and photography and started On Purpose Media.
